What a UGC video ad costs in 2026
On US creator marketplaces, a video with ad rights included runs about $70 to $100; JoinBrands lists a $25 floor before its fee and rights. Freelance creators quote $125 to $1,500 per video depending on length and experience, and paid-ad usage rights can add 20 to 100% on top. An AI-made ad on RhythmAds works out to $5.33 to $9.50, billed yearly.

Our price per finished ad is the plan price divided by the ads in it: billed yearly, $19 a month for 2 on Lite ($9.50 each), $239 for 40 on Growth (about $5.98) and $639 for 120 on Scale (about $5.33). That covers the storyboard you approve first, scene edits, word-by-word captions, music and your logo. There is no usage-rights fee or platform cut on top, because no creator is involved.
Prices per video, from the people who sell them
| Route | Price per video | What the price includes |
|---|---|---|
| Creator marketplace package (Trend) | $69 to $92 | Package price divided by videos: $550 for 6 up to $3,872 for 56. Ad rights included. |
| Creator rate for an Instagram Reel | $125 to $1,250 | Insense rate guide. Base rate usually covers organic use only; paid ads cost more. |
| Freelance creator, 15 to 30 second video | $200 to $800 | JoinBrands rate guide. Base rate is one platform for 3 months. |
| Freelance creator, 30 to 60 second product demo | $300 to $1,500 | JoinBrands rate guide. Paid-ad use adds 20 to 50%, perpetual rights 50 to 100%. |
| Billo | From $99 | Billo's own pricing guide. Usage rights for ads are included once you approve the video. The full price list is inside the platform. |
| Insense | From $100, plus a plan | UGC campaigns start at $100 per video. Plans start at $400 to $650 a month, and creator payments are budgeted separately. |
| JoinBrands | From $25, plus a fee | The $25 is a floor. A platform fee of 8 to 15% applies depending on the plan. |
| RhythmAds (AI, no creator) | $5.33 to $9.50 (billed yearly) | Plan price divided by finished ads in the plan, monthly billing. |
The first four rows feed our free cost calculator, so the numbers here and there always match. Where a marketplace sells packages, we divided the package price by the most videos it buys.
The fees that sit on top of the per-video price
Marketplace floor prices are real, but they are rarely the whole bill. Insense charges a monthly plan (from $400 a month billed yearly, $650 for a one-month trial) plus a 10 to 20% marketplace fee, and says creator payments are not included in any plan. JoinBrands takes 8 to 15% depending on the plan, from a free pay-as-you-go tier up to $499 a month.
Trend's credits expire 12 months after you buy them, so a big package only beats a small one if you will use it within the year.
Then there is time. A creator needs your product shipped, a brief, and a round of feedback. None of that shows up as a line item.
Usage rights and whitelisting
Usage rights decide whether you can run the video as a paid ad, and for how long. Billo, Trend and Insense say ad use is included with every approved video. Freelance rates are different: JoinBrands' rate guide treats limited use (one platform, 3 months) as the base rate, adds 20 to 50% for commercial use such as paid ads, 25 to 40% for all paid channels over 6 to 12 months, and 50 to 100% for perpetual rights.
Whitelisting means running the ad from the creator's own account, which on Meta is a Partnership ad. Insense's rate guide says it is priced apart from the content because you are buying account access, not more footage. Insense's plans include a set number of Meta Partnership ads connections and sell 5 more for $125 a month. JoinBrands says Instagram Partnership Ad codes come with eligible campaigns at no extra cost.
Ten ads a month, worked through
- Trend: the $1,045 package buys up to 14 videos, so ten ads a month means one package most months, with rights included.
- Freelance creators at $200 to $800 for a 15 to 30 second video: $2,000 to $8,000 for ten, before the 20 to 50% for paid-ad use.
- RhythmAds Growth: $239 a month billed yearly for 40 finished ads, so ten a month fits with room to test more. Lite's 2 a month is for trying it out, not for ten.
This is arithmetic from the prices above, not a quote. Your real creator cost depends on who you hire and what you ask for.
What the cheaper route does not buy you
Our view: the price gap is real, but so is the gap in what you get. An AI presenter is not a customer and cannot honestly say they used your product. You also cannot run a Partnership ad from an AI presenter's account, because there is no account. If a real person's experience is the point of the ad, pay the creator.
Where this stops being true
Prices are what each company published on 2026-10-30 and change often. Billo now shows its full price list only after login, so we list just its starting price. Rate guides give ranges, not quotes, and a creator with a strong following will charge more. Neither route guarantees results on Meta, and we publish no performance numbers yet.
Questions
- What is a fair price for one UGC video?
- On a marketplace, $70 to $100 for a basic video with ad rights included is the floor we found today. Freelance rate guides put a 15 to 30 second video at $200 to $800 before paid-ad rights.
- Do I have to pay extra to use UGC in Meta ads?
- With Billo, Trend and Insense, ad use is included with approved videos. With freelance creators it often is not: rate guides add 20 to 100% depending on how long and where you run it. Agree it in writing before the shoot.
- Is whitelisting the same as usage rights?
- No. Usage rights let you run the video from your own page. Whitelisting lets you run it from the creator's account as a Partnership ad, and creators usually price that separately.
- Why are AI ads so much cheaper?
- There is no creator fee, no shipping and no usage-rights fee. On RhythmAds most scenes are motion templates built from your own product photos, with a short AI clip only where the format calls for one.
