Video ads for candle and gift brands
Candles and gifts are often bought for someone else, so the ad has to sell the moment of giving as well as the thing. With a holiday deadline, we'd start with an offer ad: 13 seconds, the deal in the first 3 and the order-by date in the last 3.5.

Formats that suit candles and gifts
- Offer and sale adsHoliday sales and order-by dates fit the offer format's clear deadline.
- Unboxing and showcase adsThe box, the tissue, the label: how a gift arrives is part of what people pay for.
- Founder story adsHand-poured, small-batch brands have a maker story worth telling on camera.
- Listicle ads"3 scents for fall evenings" gives each candle its own scene.
What works for candles and gifts ads
- Scent in words. Nobody can smell a video, so the notes on your label, like fig and cedar, need to be on screen early.
- The lit moment: the flame, the glow, the room at night, from your photos or a short clip.
- The occasion and the deadline: holiday order-by dates, birthdays, a host gift for this weekend.
- Packaging, because the person paying often isn't the one who opens it.

We only show real ads here, with permission from the brand that ran them, and we're still collecting them. The quickest way to see what this looks like is a free storyboard for your product: paste your link above.
Keep it honest
Describe the scent, wax and burn time exactly as your page does. Order-by dates in the ad must match what your shipping can really do, and the ad should come down when the date passes.

Questions
- How do you show a scent in a video?
- With words and setting: the scent notes on screen in the first seconds, and scenes that match the mood, like a dim, cozy room for a woodsy candle. The burned-in captions carry the notes even with the sound off.
- Should I run an offer ad for the holidays?
- Yes, if you have a real deal and a clear order-by date. Make it a few weeks ahead, and make a version without the date so you have something to run once it passes.
- Can I make ads for gift sets and bundles?
- Yes, one ad per product page. If the bundle has its own page, the ad uses that page's photos and price.
