Video ads for home decor brands

Home decor is bought on how it will look in the buyer's own room. The ads that work show the piece in a room, at a real scale, with the texture visible. We'd lead with a listicle, "3 ways to style it": one 3.5-second scene per room, built from your lifestyle photos.

Formats that suit home decor

What works for home decor ads

  • Room shots from your product page, so people see the piece next to a sofa or on a shelf, not floating on white.
  • Texture up close: weave, glaze, grain. Decor is tactile, and the camera has to stand in for touch.
  • Size answered on screen. "Fits a 24-inch shelf" does more work than "compact".
  • Styling ideas, like one vase in three rooms, so each scene has a reason to be there.

Example hooks

Illustrative

Opening lines written for made-up products, to show the shape. Yours are written from your own product page.

  • “One vase, three rooms”
  • “How big is it really? Here it is next to a sofa”
  • “The woven throw, up close”
  • “A bare shelf, then this”

We only show real ads here, with permission from the brand that ran them, and we're still collecting them. The quickest way to see what this looks like is a free storyboard for your product: paste your link above.

Keep it honest

Color has to match what arrives. Use photos that show the true color and finish, and say so when a piece is handmade and each one varies. Rooms in AI-generated scenes are illustrative.

Questions

My photos are all on white backgrounds. Is that a problem?
Not for showcase scenes. Room scenes look more natural when your page has lifestyle shots, so add a few if you can; they help on the product page too.
Can the ad show my product in different rooms?
Your own lifestyle photos are the safest way. An AI-generated clip can place the product in a room, but patterns and glazes may shift, so check them in the draft before you approve.
Which sizes should I run?
Every finished ad comes in 9:16 for Reels and Stories and in 4:5 and 1:1 for feeds. We'd lean on 4:5 in the feed for decor, since a room shot gets more of the screen there than in a square.
