Comment reply video ads: answer the question shoppers ask
A comment reply ad opens on a short comment, like "does this fit in a carry-on?", and the rest of the ad is your brand answering it. In RhythmAds the comment is illustrative, under a placeholder handle (@example_shopper), never a real review or a real person's account. It runs 15.5 seconds.

When it works
- Shoppers keep asking the same thing before they buy: will it fit, how long does it last, does it work with what I already have.
- The answer is a fact you can show. "Yes, it fits a 15-inch laptop" works. "You'll love it" doesn't answer anything.
- You want to deal with an objection inside the ad instead of hoping people scroll down your product page to find it.
- Your comments, DMs and support inbox already tell you the real questions. Use the question, not the person's words or name.
Example hooks
IllustrativeOpening lines written for made-up products, to show the shape. Yours are written from your own product page.
- “Does this fit in a carry-on?”
- “Is it loud when it runs?”
- “Can you wash the cover?”
- “How long does one candle burn?”
- “Is the strap adjustable?”
See it on your own product
We only show real ads here, with permission from the brand that ran them, and we're still collecting them. The quickest way to see what this looks like is a free storyboard for your product: paste your link above.
Keep it honest
The comment is a question, not a review: no star ratings, no "I bought this and", no real handles. It sits under a placeholder handle with a Reply label. Don't paste a real customer's words or name into it, and keep the answer to facts on your product page.

Questions
- Is the comment from a real customer?
- No. It's an illustrative comment with a placeholder handle, written to match a question shoppers ask about products like yours. You can rewrite it in the storyboard. It's written as a question, never a review.
- Can I use a real comment from my page?
- Use the question it asks, in your own words, and keep the placeholder handle. That way you're not putting a real person's name or words in an ad without their permission.
- Which question should I pick?
- The one that stops people buying. Look at what shoppers ask in your comments, DMs and support emails, and pick a question with a short, factual answer you can show on screen in a few seconds. One question per ad; make another ad for the next one.
- How long is a comment reply ad?
- 15.5 seconds: the comment and the start of the answer (3.5 seconds), the product, a short AI-generated clip of it in use, one benefit, and a call to action.
